Learning Beyond the Classroom
Background
Having graduated with a first in Biochemistry from the University of London, I moved on to complete and publish my PhD thesis. I taught on the medical, veterinary and natural science courses at University College London and later at Cambridge University for 8 years alongside my research fellowship. From here, in 2013 I moved into secondary teaching at St. Albans School teaching pupils between the ages of 11-18. As Head of Department I have helped pupils to achieve their best possible outcome at exam time and grades of 98% A*/A at GCSE as well as 68% A*/A at A level.

Exam and past paper practice
Key to success in exams is past paper practice. We work on analysing what the question is asking, building logical answers using key words and tailoring responses to what the mark scheme will expect. All of my lessons aim to boost student confidence when they sit papers.
